Connie Lentz sent these two funnel cloud pictures to the Ainsworth Star-Journal on Thursday, August 13th. Storm clouds started building north on Ainsworth early in the evening and by 7:30 p.m. the storm had built up and produced funnel clouds.
As the new 2020-21 school year begins at Ainsworth Community Schools, Kindergarten Class of 2033 teacher Mrs. Fernau welcomed her students. As the doors to Ainsworth Community Schools open on Wednesday, August 12th, students will be welcomed by old and new staff members for the 2020-2021 school year.
LINCOLN – The state case total, as of 5:45 p.m. CT Friday, August 7th, was 28,104, an increase of 1,893 from Friday, July 31st. There were 13 new COVID-19-related deaths in the state, for a total of 345. A total of 20,333 Nebraskans diagnosed with COVID-19 have since recovered.
North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) has been made aware of seven (7) additional positive COVID-19 cases in the district.
