National autism program has local connection

Monte and Delorus Krizan of Dallas, SD, know autism. Their grandson Sam is on the autism spectrum, and he is not alone. Today, one in 59 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which is a developmental disability. 500,000 teens with autism will enter adulthood in the next decade. Currently, suitable housing options are limited, and only 15% of adults with autism have full-time employment.
