City of Long Pine Doing Their Part to Help Long Pine Students with Wi-Fi During the COVID-19 Pandemic
During the Long Pine City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 17th, Council Members Linda Alberts, Teresa LeMunyan and Aaron Miller (Kathy Papstein being absent), voted to offer the City Office for Long Pine students accessibility to the City’s Wi-Fi for free, during the COVID-19 Pandemic while school’s are closed. The students must have adult supervision with them during the office business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
Under reports of the City Council, both the Animal Control Officer and Code Enforcement Officer were not present since Mayor Brown suggested they didn’t need to come due to the COVID-19.
Brown stated that one of the Nuisance Abatement cases was going to court on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 where the resident was going to request a trial date.
Included in the consent agenda that was approved by the council, were the Minutes for the February 6, 2020 regular meeting, treasurer’s report, approval of claims, payroll summary and a cemetery certificate for Julius Murer.
