
New carpentry business opens on Main Street in Gregory
A man with a building talked to another man about learning to build cabinets, and Main Stop Cabinet Shop was born.
Joey Meyers moved to Gregory in 2007 and worked as a carpenter with Claude Harrison for a year or so as he slowly transitioned to working on his own. Prior to moving to the community, he learned cabinet-making from a man in North Carolina who finished yacht interiors. “So I really like angles,” he said. “There isn’t anything square in a boat.”
Recently Vincent Palmer approached Meyers about learning cabinet building. When Meyers said that he needed a building, Palmer told him about the one he owned on Main Street.
