Ainsworth Girls Cross County Team Takes First Place at Broken Bow Invite

The Ainsworth Cross Country teams gave some gritty performances on Saturday, September 14th at the Broken Bow Invite.

For their effort, the high school girls placed four in the medals and surpassed McCook for a narrow win. The boys medaled three in a runner-up finish to Minden. The middle school teams ended up with two girl medalists in a winning team effort while the middle school boys medaled one in a 9th place team effort.

Girls Cross Country

Leading the way for the Lady Bulldogs was senior Rylee Rice. Rice would lead the team of Bulldogs, getting out hard and into the race early. Crossing the line in 20:41.3, Rice’s win would eclipse the school record for career victories by surpassing 1,898 runners.
