Air spading trees at Cherry County Fairgrounds

Amy Seiler, Community Forestry Specialist and Jessica Kelling, Retree Nebraska Coordinator were at the Cherry County Fairgrounds Monday, October 10, to excavate dirt away from roots on some of the trees and deliver trees to plant at the fairgrounds. The trees were made available through a ReTree Nebraska initiative mini grant funded by the Nebraska Environmental Trust and U.S. Forest Service. Jim Elliot, Bob Brown, and Doug Pier from the City of Valentine assisted with the air spading.
