Valentine East Project to begin

Tentative Start Date: 07/28/25 Working Days: 30 Grading, Concrete Pavement, Seeding, Miscellaneous, Electrical and General work. Work is scheduled to start for the Valentine East Project.

Sara Tinant went to Platte on Thursday where she met her sister, Mary, and friend Nancy, who had come from Brandon. They visited Ann Keech at Platte Care Center, then Mary and Nancy spent the afternoon playing and singing for the residents.

Meditations on Farming selected for Women in Agriculture Book Club

Lincoln, NE, July 31-The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program and Annie’s Project have announced Meditations on Farming, as the choice for their third quarter Book Club, which will conclude with a virtual discussion at 1:00 p.m., CST on September 15.

Supervise young children while using supplies as they can easily be splashed in the eyes, swallowed, or spilled on the skin.

During the week of July 27 - August 2, no arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department. During the week officers responded to 46 calls for service, including: • 15 traffic stops • 2 animal complaints • 1 reported fraud • 1 assault Additionally, the police department was made aware of fake currency being circulated in the area.

Cherry County Commissioners approve TK Angus CUP

The TK Angus hearing lasted nearly two hours, Tuesday, July 29, 2025 during the Cherry County Commissioner’s meeting. Martin DeNayer, Nina Nelson, and Mike McConaughey were in attendance, along with Cherry County Attorney Eric Scott. Attorney Steve Mossman was available via zoom, and represented TK Angus.
