Richard Lee “Dick” Roosa of Valentine, NE, passed away on May 14, 2026. Born on September 23, 1943 in Valentine, Dick lived a full and purposeful life in the community he called home.

Rosetta Reisinger, 98, of Aurora, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Memorial Community Care. Rosie’s wishes were to be cremated.

Rodelio Magno Castillo, aka Rod, “Rockin Rod”, or “Dork Boy”, age 59, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 8, 2026, at his home in North Platte, NE. Rod was born on November 29, 1966.

Mary Hannah Melton Kerr was born on December 6, 1932 on the farm located near Valentine, NE. She joined her older siblings Chester, Harry, and Doris. She grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at the Ward Country school. As a child she enjoyed most school subjects and excelled at memorizing and reciting poems. She liked being outdoors and exploring the canyons with childhood friends. Mary attended Valentine High School before marrying her childhood friend, Willie Kerr. They were blessed with two daughters Kathy and Peggy.

Delmar Frank Mapes was born November 21, 1932 in Eli, NE to Fank LeRoy and Josephine Adeline (Taylor) Mapes, joining his older sister Nettie Mae. He died April 18, 2026 in Austin, TX.

Selene Denise Knuth was born in Valentine, Nebraska, on August 17, 1961, to Jerry and Joan (Hoffman) Knuth. Jerry and Joan studied the Bible at Grace Lutheran Church, and became members of that fellowship in March of 1962. On April 22 of that year, Selene and her two older sisters, Sherry and Terry, were all baptized into God’s family.

Continued from page 2 Kelly Duane Grimshaw was born in Reliance, SD on November 20, 1942, to Dorothy and Walter Grimshaw. In 1947, his family moved from Reliance to Mission, SD, where many of his lifelong memories and roots were formed.

Sherwood “Woody” P. Vosburg April 12, 1949 April 17, 2026 Preceded in death by parents, Noble Perrin and Dena Ferrari Vosburg; brother Bruce Vosburg; and sister-in-law Susan Ellen Vosburg.

Arthur “Arch” James Ferguson, 86, of Wood Lake, Nebraska, passed away at his home on June 2, 2026. Arch was born on January 12, 1940, in Sexsmith, Alberta, Canada.

Neale Eldon Perrett was born in Hyannis, NE on July 30, 1931, to Walter and Frances (Gross) Perrett, the youngest of five children. He passed away on May 17, 2026, at the Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, NE.
