The Fourth Wall

Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon! The Valentine Area Arts Council will be hosting The Fourth Wall on Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m., at the Valentine High School Auditorium. The Fourth Wall put a vaudevillian twist on classical chamber music.

This March the community is invited to join in the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and be someone’s hero by rolling up a sleeve to give blood March 5 from 11:30 to 5:30 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

BJ Roshone a member of the Sand Painters Art Club is named Artist of the Month for March. Founder of Wannabe Wandering Photography, BJ is a former Missourian now rooted on the prairie in Valentine, NE.

Prescribed burns set for WMAs, state park areas

Prescribed burns will begin this spring on some Nebraska Game and Parks Commission wildlife management areas, state parks and state recreation areas where weather allows. Burning allows habitat managers to positively affect more acres.

Baldwin Angus joins Membership of American Angus Association

Baldwin Angus of Wood Lake, NE is a new member of the American Angus Association, reports Mark McCully, CEO of the national breed organization headquartered in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The American Angus Association, with more than 21,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef breed association in the world.

Nebraska state park areas see many enhancements

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is reinvesting into the state’s recreational resources to enhance outdoor experiences, support state tourism, and provide safe and accessible amenities in state park areas and trails. Completed projects will appeal to an array of park users, from campers to anglers.
