Elsie Farley, age 92, of Cody, died on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.

Donald Engle Allen was born December 23, 1922 in the Allen Family sod house in Brown County, Nebraska and passed away on April 24th, 2021 in Del Rio, TX. He was the fourth child of his parents Fred Albert Allen and Mabel Henrietta (Hewitt) Allen. Doctors Hewitt, Don’s grandparents, attended to Don’s birth and to those of his three siblings.

Richard “Rick” E. Anderson Sr., age 68, of Yankton, SD, died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his home in Yankton.

Lorene (Hayden) Kernan was born at Blackbird (North Holt Co.) on July 5, 1921 to Bertha (Rouse) and James R. Hayden. She passed away on May 1, 2021 at the age of 99 years at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care Center in Bassett.

Diamond Channae Brown entered into the world on October 17, 1995 in Dodge City, KS to Rebecca Sue Fancher and John H. Brown, III.

Evelyn Yvonne Perrett Smith was born July 6, 1932 to Harvey and Veronica Breitkreutz on a farm eight miles southwest of Wisner. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Al, Duane, Roland, LeRoy and sisters, Ethel, Betty, Violet, and infant sister, Luella.

Arlene Margaret Voss Ries, 86, teacher, gardener, ranch wife and loving mother went to be with her Lord on May 11, 2021. Arlene was born July 4, 1934, to Henry and Marjorie (Johnson) Voss on the family ranch 26 miles south of Wood Lake.

Yvonne “Vonnie” Marie Reyman was born on July 18, 1936 in Ainsworth, to Marie A. Esterly and Wilson Marlatt. Vonnie passed away May 5, 2021, at the age of 84 in Lincoln. She was surrounded by her husband, Ret. U.S. Army Major Claude Lou Reyman and daughter, Ret. U.S. Army Colonel Lynda Marie Granfield.

As previously reported, Carol D. Starkjohann, long time resident of Valentine, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 19, 2021. With warmer weather and vaccine advancements, there will be a graveside memorial service for Carol on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. CT at the Stromsburg Cemetery in Stromsburg, located at Route M and 9th Street. Following the memorial, a reception in celebration of her impressive 100 ½ years will be held at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. CT. We have been blessed to receive many touching remembrances and personal notes, which may continue to be sent to Ann Nixon at 1301 West 50th Street, Kansas City, MO, 64112.

Andrew Donovan Looney, who grew up in Round Hill, VA and recently fulfilled a long-time dream of living and working on a cattle ranch, died on Friday, April 30, 2021, in a one-vehicle accident near Cody, where he had become a valued member of the staff at the sprawling Rocking J Ranch in the northwest corner of the state.
