Bringing relief

W Americans are rightfully concerned about the direction of our economy. While inflation is no longer at nine percent, prices remain high, and the inflation rate remains double where it was when President Biden took office.

Governor reverses stand

Wait, what? Governor Jim Pillen has reversed his opposition to a federal summer grocery program that would aid around 150,000 children of low-income families. After speaking with the legislature’s Agriculture Committee staff (one of my committee assignment) I learned the proposed changes concern ordinary plastic ear tags that are in common use in the ranching industry. The rule change that got everyone all stirred up says the common plastic ear tag must be able to be read electronically if it has a bar code or a QR code.

However snow, ice, and cold can turn a stroll in the park into an obstacle course. Having proper footwear is not only important for warmth, but also the wellbeing of your feet. Choosing the correct boots for the elements could mean the difference between enjoying the outdoors and needing an urgent care visit. What makes good footwear for enjoying the outdoors safely?
