Imagine our borders proclaiming, No Sales, No Income, No Property taxes!

Last week I wrote about the “pink postcard” many citizens received announcing an increase of their property taxes was being considered by a “local unit of government” (LUG). I am still receiving quite a number of calls and messages from constituents commenting about this subject.

Restoring American leadership on trade

Many farmers are already busy taking in crops as dry conditions have encouraged an early start to the harvest season. Financially speaking, farming is a high-risk venture.

Legislature ponders improved public input

Nothing ruins a public hearing on a legislative bill like the public showing up. Wait, what? A former boss said it years ago at the end of a particularly long day of hearings at the State Capitol.

The need to fix a broken system is apparent

Dear Colorado, what is the hatred anyway?

An open letter to Colorado, It’s fitting that I am writing this on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America, the day that hatred manifested itself openly on American soil. I am writing about a now-past football game and the comments made by the showboat coach of the University of Colorado and his son the star quarterback who said to more than one media outlet “We don’t like Nebraska.” That comment is somewhat toned down from Saturday evening reports that he uttered that he “hated” Nebraska.
