While on the campaign trail in 2019, then-candidate Biden guaranteed supporters that he would “end fossil fuel.” Since taking office, President Biden and his Administration have followed through on that promise by doing everything in their power to curtail domestic energy production.

Dear Editor, “..we find that the Board violated the Act” That’s a direct quote from the Assistant Attorney General’s response to my Open Meetings Act complaint which was filed at the request of the Assistant AG, after I made a phone call to ask if you can call executive session “for the purpose of salary negotiation.” Quoting from the Assistant Attorney General’s letter: “While we cannot definitely determine the propriety of the subject matter for the closed session, we find that the BOARD VIOLATED THE ACT when it failed to identify the statutory reason for the closed session in its motion to close.” (emphasis added) “As the Board took no reversible action as a result of the closed session, we will take no formal action to address the violation. We will, however remind the Board, through a copy of this letter to its attorney, of the importance of strictly following the requirements of the Act.

WashingtOn d.C . Nebraska’s family farmers and ranchers have long had to grapple with the effects of natural disasters and extreme weather.

g OVernOr In 2024, NASA will send a small surgical robot from Nebraska to the International Space Station. The tiny, two-pound robot will be able to perform surgeries on the space station that would normally require a surgeon’s expertise and much larger equipment.

When I came to the Unicameral in 2017 I had just finished riding a mule for 600 miles across the largest legislative district in Nebraska. Everywhere I went people complained about industrial wind turbines, and how they rip apart the fabric of so many small rural communities.

Leave it to the Republicans to pick on their own. Leave it to the short-timer Nebraska Governor to lead the charge.

W From rising inflation to spiraling energy prices to unaccountable schools and rising crime in many parts of our country, America is on the wrong track. That’s not just my opinion.

W According to a recent survey, 60 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and 71 percent of workers feel their pay isn’t keeping up with the cost of living. The numbers bear this out – 6.2 percent wage growth alongside 8.3 percent inflation means that Americans’ paychecks are worth 2.1 percent less than they were at this time last year.

I will admit that I have never been very excited about Nebraska’s representation in the United States Senate. I blame it on growing up in the Curtis-Hruska era when it seemed like we just kept sending the same two guys to do the work of the nation.
