Cody-Kilgore competes at Chadron Indoor meet

Cody-Kilgore had the pleasure of competing in the Chadron Indoor meet Saturday, March 18, 2023. They were the smallest school among the competition including: Alliance, Bayard, Chadron, Creek Valley, Custer, Gering, Scottsbluff, Southeast, and St. Thomas More.

Guests at central Nebraska state parks will enjoy many improvements

Mosner earns third place medal at NSAA Speech Championships

Finley Mosner and Marybelle Ward travelled to the Nebraska State Class C1 & C2 Speech Championships on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Finley earned a third place medal for her poetry program about loneliness. Marybelle competed in persuasive with a piece she wrote titled, “Get Involved.”

Hanson selected for Cornhuskers Girls State

Kaylee Hanson of Valentine, has been selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Conrhusker Girls State, June 4-10, 2023, on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Hanson was selected by American Legion Auxiliary, Wood Lake 202.

Tractor and farm equipment safety course now open for registration

Teens 14 or 15 years of age who work on farms, or others who are interested in learning about tractor and farm equipment safety practices, can register for a safety training course offered at seven locations across Nebraska from May 22 through June 8.
