Cody-Kilgore VB and FB each come home with wins

Badgers come away with loss at O’Neill

Coach Ian Bish said, “Our boys played extremely hard all night but unfortunately we came out on the wrong side. On the defensive side of the ball, we flew around and made play after play all night. Offensively we had our opportunities but we have to finish drives when we get the ball inside the redzone.”

Results of Gothenburg Invite

The Lady Badgers traveled to Gothenburg, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, and placed fourth out of 12 teams with 397. Medaling were Kaetryn Bancroft, sixth place, 89; Mekallyn Bancroft, eighth place, 91.

Lady Badgers win over Decatur

The Lady Badgers traveled to McCook, Saturday, September 17, where they took on the Decatur Community of Oberlin, KS. The team lost the first set 17-25, but came back and won the second set with 25-17.

Ron Mercure named Hometown Hero 2022

Badger Football team enjoyed supper picnic style on the football field, pictured at right. After supper Ron received his Hometown Hero Award and the players took to the field for introductions and speeches. This year’s team is looking for the win and are ready to battle their way to the top. The football players shook hands and greeted the residents and then the cheerleaders ended the evening with a few dance routines and some motivational cheers, pictured above.

Cowgirls fall to Ainsworth and Gordon-Rushville in Triangular

The Cody-Kilgore Cowgirls Volleyball Team traveled to Ainsworth on September 15, 2022, for a Triangular with Ainsworth and Gordon-Rushville. The Cowgirls fell in two sets to Gordon-Rushville Lady Mustangs, 25-11 and 25-18. The Cowgirls then played Ainsworth and fell in two sets to the Lady Bulldogs, 25-18 and 25-10. Badgers fight against an athletic Chadron team

Coach Ian Bish said, “Chadron was an extremely athletic team that got loose against us a few times. They were able to jump out to a big lead early but our guys fought back and made it a ball game in the fourth quarter. We are extremely proud of our guys’ effort and fight on Friday night and we're looking forward to battling a tough O'Neill team.”

September 19-24 is NSAA Officials Appreciation week!

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has designated the week of September 19-24 as NSAA Fall Officials Appreciation Week. The week-long campaign will highlight different facts and findings from a 2022 NSAA Officials survey as well as video highlights from the NSAA Officials Summit that took place in July.
