Prescribed fire safety and planning

A prescribed fire crew lights off of a mowed control line, while others monitor in vehicles carrying water pumps and hoses. The mowed control line can be easily defended with tools and the vehicles carrying water on the burn. There is a smooth, clean line of black vegetation along the boundary of the burn.
