NGP Commissioners approve sportfishing orders

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved changes to sportfishing orders at its meeting October 25 in Broken Bow. These orders regard daily bag limits, possession limits and open areas.

NDOR held Open House November 1, with nearly 100 people in attendance

It was estimated that more than 100 people walked across the spiffy greeting carpet at the Nebraska Department of Roads new facility for their Open House, held Friday, November 1, 2024.

Hostess Erin Allan had a guest book for sign-ins. There were also photo albums and photos on the wall for people to peruse as the tours were getting underway.

The 27,000 square foot building had been tidied after their move from the city location, and everything had its place - and some spaces were vacant, waiting for items to fill them.

Rick and Kitty VanderWey went to Kearney on Saturday to listen to son Brayden Hammer open up for B.J. Jamison at Joe’s Honkey Tonk. Brayden came home on Sunday to spend several days before returning to his home in Iowa.
