Marvanne Logterman went to Rapid City on Friday to pick up her brother, Tim, who flew in from Bozeman, MT. Leroy (Duke) Logterman arrived early Sunday morning for the sale, being delayed a day by the snowstorm in Montana. Colder temps to deal with this past week, but the Logterman’s were busy all week in preparation for Mondays bull sale in Valentine.

Cody News

Wow, where did this week go? This will officially be the short news week. Our fearless Circle C Grocery Store manager, Liz Ravenscroft, traveled to Lincoln to present evidence on the importance of grocery stores for community viability, to support a bill in the Legislature which would help fund small town stores.

The last issue of the Valentine Midland News featured my daughter- in-law Ashley Blume Vackiner, as the new Veterans Service Officer for Cherry County. It takes a special person to take care of our Veteran Heroes, and I am proud of her. She and my son Clay and their son Tylan live in Cody.

Jodi Arnold took four of her choir students from Cody-Kilgore High School to Kearney on Sunday. On Monday they took part in the University of Nebraska Kearney Honor Choir.

Grab a pruner and basket then wander through your landscape gathering a few evergreen branches, berry-laden stems, and cones to create a holiday centerpiece or décor.
