BROOKINGS, S.D. June 9, 2026 - More than 3,900 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the spring 2026 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the Deans List.

Fisheries biologists for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission were collecting paddlefish for a study this spring when a large and rare fish for Nebraska showed up in the net. A 70-pound lake sturgeon was pulled from the Missouri River at Gavins Point Dam on April 14.

The Badger track team had seven compete at the NSAA 2026 State Track meet. Each competitor represented Badger Nation with their best.

May 19, 2026 - Some of the best track and field athletes in state history will be at Burke Stadium for the 2026 State Meet. In any given year, spectators at the NSAA state track meet might be lucky enough to see a class record holder or two perform on the state’s grandest stage at Omaha Burke Stadium.

The Badgers turned in an outstanding performance, finishing 2nd overall with a team score of 326 which is the best team score by a Badger golf team in 14 years.
