Celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Lincoln – Throughout March, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) observes Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. The purpose of this awareness month is to educate and encourage Nebraskans to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) the encouragement and opportunities they need to lead fulfilling and productive lives and achieve their full potential, goals, and dreams.

Beware of False Spring!!

Warmer weather and longer days are starting to show up, giving so many of us hope and excitement for the new growing season. Even though it is very tempting to start yard and garden work to clean up from the winter, we need to beware of 'False Spring', where the warm days can be followed by cold snaps and potential spring blizzards that will visit the region at some point in March and April.

Lakeview/Crookston

Jean Burge Dunes Cox, son of Daniel and Emily Cox, was baptized at the Lakeview Church on February 12 by Pastor Joshua Stammis, and was blessed to have his grandparents and several great grandparents in attendance. Brett and Jessica Bowser, Briar, Elise and Bridger of Minnesota spent five days visiting Jessica’s mom, Jeannie and Don Schelhaas.
