Congratulations to Sadie VanderWey, who won the Nebraska State D-2 Interpretation of Serious Prose championship at the state speech competition in Kearney last week! Coach George Arnold, and Jodi Arnold took 15 Cody-Kilgore students to the meet, with nine competing. Hard work by Sadie and great coaching and direction from George and Jodi paid off!
Jimmy and Heidi Doyle, River and Bridger traveled to San Diego to visit Jimmy’s sister and husband as well as Heidi’s aunt Rose and cousins. A highlight of the trip was fishing in the ocean, and they got a few extra days of vacation thanks to delayed flights into Denver because of the snowstorm.
After two weather postponements, Lavern and Pauline Lanz finally made it to Rapid City. Unfortunately it was for doctor appointments, but still they did get to get away!
Sara Tinant spent a day at the Fulton Ranch visiting Lisa and family, and had a great meal cooked by Lainie. She also enjoyed what she called a “cordial” game of cards, which makes me think Sara is mellowing, her competitive streak usually doesn’t involve the word cordial!
Ryder Deloria Logterman was officially adopted into the Rob and Andee Logterman family on March 18. He joins baby sister Madie, making a beautiful family of four! A celebration party was held that evening attended by Paul, LuAnn and Cassie Beckwith, Jim and Julie Letellier and Dwight and Marvanne Logterman. Congratulations Logterman family!
