South Dakota State announces spring 2025 Dean’s List

More than 3,800 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the spring 2025 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the Dean’s List. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Nebraska Wesleyan University Spring 2025 Acedemic Honors

Nebraska Wesleyan University has announced its 2025 spring semester academic honors list recognizing undergraduate students with superior academic performance. Students earning at least a 3.75 semester grade point average while completing a full-time course load of as least 12 credit hours of graded work are eligible for consideration.

UNMC announces spring 2025 Dean’s List

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has announced its spring 2025 Dean’s List for students enrolled in nursing, dentistry, pharmacy and the allied health professions of medical imaging and therapeutic sciences program and medical laboratory science.

Area Boys and Girls State Citizens

Girls and Boys State is a week-long event where high school juniors learn and focus on different parts of American Government and politics. These programs help teach leadership and citizenship all while creating a positive environment. These events are sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Cherry County 4-H Livestock Education Day

Theannual4-Hlivestockjudging clinic and competition was held May 29, 2025, at the Cherry County Fairgrounds. Seth Grunhaupt was the head clinician/judge, assisted by Craig O’Kief, Andy Dawson, and Blair Tenhouse.

Lakeview Area News

The area was blessed with several more good rains this past week. There’s been plenty of heat and wind too, so the rains are appreciated . The Saturday night storm put on a lightning show to rival the fireworks!

Cody News

First cuttings of alfalfa are looking done and second cuttings are coming in strong with the wonderful rains we have had in the region. So exciting to see the green hills! The Cody community is mourning the loss of two beloved women in our area.
