The following arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department during the week of June 29 - July 5: • On July 1, at approximately midnight, an officer responded to a report of two males arguing near the intersection of Highway 20 and South Main Street. The officer located the men, and subsequently arrested a 29 year old South Dakota man for Disturbing the Peace.

Gov. Pillen deploys Nebraska Task Force One to flood-stricken Texas

LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen has directed the deployment of Nebraska Task Force One (NE-TF1) – Nebraska’s Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Team to flood-stricken areas of Texas. The 45-member group, including two canine teams, have left Lincoln.
