JUNE 16, 2025 (LINCOLN, NE) — The Nebraska State Patrol has issued the following statement regarding rumors surrounding the ongoing investigation into multiple shootings of public officials in Minnesota.

Nebraska State Patrol graduates 71st recruit class

JUNE 13, 2025 (LINCOLN, NE) —The Nebraska State Patrol has welcomed a new class of state troopers into the ranks. Members of NSP’s 71st Basic Recruit Class received their badges and were sworn-in during a ceremony at the State Capitol in Lincoln.

Gov. Pillen issues statement on Omaha ICE Operations

LINCOLN, NE – Following U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Omaha and subsequent protests Tuesday, Governor Jim Pillen issued the following statement: “Under the Biden Administration, the country’s immigration policy absolutely failed the American people for four years. We have to address the issue of illegal immigration, and I support the work of our federal partners to ensure that the law is followed and I remain supportive of President Trump’s efforts to secure the border.”

During the week of June 8 - 14, the following arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department: • Information received on June 9 lead to the arrest of a 43 year old Nebraska man on charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. These charges are related to a burglary that was included in last week’s police report.

Troopers arrest Chicago homicide suspect in North Platte

JUNE 12, 2025 ( NORTH PLATTE, NE) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested an Illinois man wanted in connection with a Chicago homicide investigation. Wednesday afternoon, NSP was alerted that a homicide suspect was believed to be traveling through Nebraska, driving a semi.
