Titus Tech Recycling at KVSH

Old computers collecting dust? Most people leave them to dust and rust. The responsible thing would be to recycle them, but Valentine Nebraska doesn’t have any options. Last semester, our government teacher tasked us with starting a community service project. Hence I started Titus Tech Recycling.

Fire and EMS can apply for grain bin rescue tube grant

LINCOLN, Neb. (March 12, 2025) – The Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) and Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) are partnering to improve grain bin safety by donating two grain rescue tubes and two training sessions to fire and rescue departments in Nebraska. In collaboration with Nationwide and the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS), this initiative aims to equip rural fire and rescue teams with the knowledge and tools to respond to grain bin entrapments effectively.

Gov. Pillen Announces Retirement of NSP Superintendent Bolduc

LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen announced the retirement of Colonel John Bolduc, superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), following a 38-year career in law enforcement. Col. Bolduc’s retirement is effective May 4, when he reaches the NSP mandatory retirement age of 60.

During the week of March 9 -15, the Valentine Police Department reported the following arrests: • On March 12 at approximately 9:40p.m., officers responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence in the northeast corner of Valentine. A 29 year old Nebraska man was arrested for the offense of Second Degree Criminal Trespassing.
