Cade Cody was one of 126 UNMC medical students who learned their residency assignments

A total of 126 senior medical students at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, learned about their residency assignments March 21, 2025 during an event at the Omaha Design Center. The 2025 Main Residency Match -- referred to as Match Day -- is an annual rite of passage for medical students, a day when students across the country learn where they will train for the next three to seven years, depending on the medical area of their choice.

During the week of March 23 - 29, the Valentine Police Department responded to 39 calls for service, including: • 7 traffic stops • 4 welfare checks • 4 animal complaints • 3 disturbances • 1 burglary • 1 fraud complaint Street/US-83 update Preparations are underway to resume work on the West 4th Street Project in Valentine. Work on this project includes reconstructing US-83, which requires removing and replacing the existing concrete pavement.

Niobrara Council February meeting minutes

The Niobrara Council held their regular monthly meeting, February 27, 2025, at the MNNRD meeting room. The meeting was called to order at 1:02 p.m. with the following in attendance: Jason Appelt, Karl Connell, Dallas Dodson, Les Hall, Wade Hollenbeck, Mary Mercure, Mike Murphy (arrived at 1:04 p.m.), Don Painter, Matt Sprenger, Tony Tiefenthaler, Scott Wessel.
