I am proud to serve a district that is home to the top two cow counties in the nation, Cherry County and Custer County, along with nine other counties that are crucial to our state’s agricultural success.

The Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association (SPRA) is a non-profit refuge friends group supporting scientific, historical, and educational projects on the Fort Niobrara, Valentine, and Seier National Wildlife Refuges. The refuges are part of the National Wildlife Refuge System administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. TheSPRAboard of directors are concerned about inadequate staffing and funding of the refuges. The refuges are important to Nebraska and the local community.

Doug and Shirley Kroeger are some of our most dedicated members. This husband-and-wife duo have over 50 years between them as volunteers on our squad. You don’t usually see one without the other and they make the perfect team.

Agriculture is Nebraska’s number one industry. It sustains our families,strengthensruralcommunities, and ensures a strong future for generations to come. National Ag Week, March 16-22, is a special time of year for Nebraska agriculture. It’s the perfect time to highlight and celebrate an industry that people depend on every day, and one that’s near and dear to my heart.

Social hour will begin at 4:00 p.m., Benefit Auction will take place at 5:00 p.m., banquet at 6:00 p.m.

Old computers collecting dust? Most people leave them to dust and rust. The responsible thing would be to recycle them, but Valentine Nebraska doesn’t have any options. Last semester, our government teacher tasked us with starting a community service project. Hence I started Titus Tech Recycling.

(March 12, 2025) – The Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) and Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB) are partnering to improve grain bin safety by donating two grain rescue tubes and two training sessions to fire and rescue departments in Nebraska. In collaboration with Nationwide and the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS), this initiative aims to equip rural fire and rescue teams with the knowledge and tools to respond to grain bin entrapments effectively.

UNMC’s Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health, in collaboration with Nebraska Extension, will oversee the courses. The Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (CS-CASH) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health, in collaboration with Nebraska Extension, has announced the dates for its annual tractor and equipment safety training courses.
