Lincoln, NE, April 28, 2026 —Individuals with a passion for agriculture, leadership and shaping the future of Nebraska are encouraged to apply for the Nebraska LEAD (Leadership Education/Action Development) Program’s 45th cohort. Applications for the state’s premier agricultural leadership development program are now being accepted through June 15, 2026.

VALENTINE, NE– Beginning May 22, the Niobrara National Scenic River Visitor Center will be open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT through September 19. The visitor center will remain open on all major holidays during the summer season.

Jarek Erickson, son of JR Erickson, and Angie and Aaron Anderson; grandparents, Tracy and Kay Hand, and Helen Erickson was selected by Nebpreps as the Class D2 Player of the year. As a member of the Wolfpack basketball team, he helped lead the team to the Class D2 State Basketball Tournament two seasons in a row.
