A vintage photo album, filled with the silver-grey hue of old tintypes, tells a story of a different era. In those days, cameras weren’t the constant companions they are today; each shutter click carried weight, capturing a moment frozen in time. Quality mattered more than quantity. Yet, as the years pass, some of these images have vanished, taking fragments of family history with them.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle collections was over $3,000 as of Sunday, December 21, 2025, said Wendy Murphy. The goal for was set for this year was $5,000, and with $3,800 they’re on their way! Collecting for 2024 was $4,250; in previous years, they’ve collected upwards of $8,000.
