Kenneth was born on New Year’s Day 1937 to Albert and Virginia Churchill and died at home September 7, 2024. He was married to Lila Drybread; they raised two boys, Brad and Linn, along with many others that would work for them over the years. Some of those became friends that might as well have been family.

Helen Maxine Stokely, 92, of Valentine, died September 9, 2024 at her home. Memorial Mass was Saturday, September 14 , 2024 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation and Vigil Service was held Friday evening at the church. Robert “Bob” Walter Kluender, of Valentine, passed away August 31, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born n June 21, 1941, in Ainsworth, to Walter and Mary (Foster) Kluender.

Dorothy Ann Quigley was born in Valentine, October 23, 1941 to Garland “Gale” and Irene “Tiny” (Hutchinson) Lighthill. She passed away in Valentine, August 19, 2024 at the age of 82 years.

Rodney Allen Hockenbary was born July 23, 1937, in Rapid City, SD to Ralph and Adelaide (Boomer) Hockenbary. He was raised north of Allen, SD on the parents’ homestead and attended country school near Allen. He attended eighth grade in Brookings, SD and then high school in Kadoka where he met his future wife, Theresa. They were married November 22, 1958.

Lloyd Benjamin Paxton was born November 22, 1943, to Melvin and Matilda (Weihe) Paxton. He attended school and graduated from Valentine High School.

Gary Gene Eberly, 86, of Cody went home to Jesus Tuesday August 20, 2024. Gary was born July 2, 1938 in Mullen to Forrest Fremont Eberly and Leona (Sieck) Eberly.

Eldon Dale Reagle was born January 23,1953, in Valentine, NE to Alvin and Velna (Mizner) Reagle. He grew up in Valentine with his siblings Vernie and Arlene.

Roy Edward Bennett was born the youngest of ten children November 25, 1942, in Presho, SD. His parents were William (Slim) and Mildred (Nutt) Bennett.

William Seymour Richardson, age 82 of Valentine, was born November 19, 1942, in Valentine, to William J. and Ennis Lovejoy Richardson. He passed away August 25, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
