Drafting a historic piece of legislation like the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1) doesn’t happen overnight.

Nebraska is what America is supposed to be.

I was honored to be nominated by Nebraska Family Alliance to attend the 2025 Statesmen Academy, a five-day leadership program hosted by Family Policy Alliance Foundation. This unique opportunity is designed to equip state legislators with tools to lead effectively and faithfully in public service.

We appear to be done bombing Iran, and to be back to helping Ukraine repeal invaders from Russia. Plus, it looks like the trade war we started is going to raise our cost of buying coffee from Brazil and beer from Mexico.

Last week, I shared how the One Big, Beautiful Bill delivers for Nebraska’s hardworking producers — the farmers and ranchers who feed and fuel our nation. Today, I want to detail another top priority: how this new law keeps Nebraskans safe and our communities secure.

Lasting prosperity depends on lasting security. No nation can thrive without secure borders and a strong military.

by Senator Tanya Storer This past week was rooted in the agricultural innovation that drives our state forward as well as legislative action that protects our way of life. It’s a privilege to share some of the highlights from the Capitol and back home in the District.

Access to healthcare is a major challenge for patients and providers alike in rural communities across America, including in small cities and villages across Nebraska’s Third District. Families face long driving distances when they need care most, and a lack of patient density impedes the finances of providers striving to serve expansive areas.

W This week, during a roundtable hosted by Western Sugar Cooperative, I met with representatives across several agricultural sectors from the Third District. I am grateful each time I’m able to connect with and thank the dedicated producers at the origination of the supply chains stocking our grocery stores, pantries, restaurants, fuel pumps, and more.
