Cowboys lose to Ainsworth

The Cowboys finished off their regular season at Ainsworth where they fought hard against the Dawgs, and came out with a loss and a final score of 32-70. Scoring by quarters: Cody-Kilgore - 9, 9, 8, 6 = 32 Ainsworth - 19, 23, 24, 4 = 70 Cowboys roll into postseason as the #2 seed in the D2-12 Subdistricts, where they will play the #3 seeded Crawford Rams.

Congratulations Badger wrestlers at NSAA State competition!

The Valentine Badger’s Boys and Girls wrestling teams attended NSAA State Wrestling over this past weekend. The Class C team placed eighth with 64 points out of a field of 55 teams. Broken Bow placed first with 119; Bishop Neumann, 97; Fillmore Central, 96; Pierce, 78.5; Battle Creek, 75; Boone Central, 66; Wilber-Clatonia, 65.5; Valentine, 64; Crofton/Bloomfield, 59; Ord, 55.

Cherry County Bots headed to state

On February 4, 2023 Cherry County 4-H had two teams competing at the Nebraska 4-H First Lego League Robotics Regional Qualifier in Henderson. The Badger Bot Team qualified for the state competition for the third year in a row with mostly all returning members: RJ Dean, Duncan Mosner, Isaac Utecht, Allen Ward, Tyler Harp, Cole Boes, Kaden Garwood and Tilden Foster.
