The Cowboys finished off their regular season at Ainsworth where they fought hard against the Dawgs, and came out with a loss and a final score of 32-70. The Valentine Badger’s Boys and Girls wrestling teams attended NSAA State Wrestling over this past weekend. The Class C team placed eighth with 64 points out of a field of 55 teams. The Badgers competed in the C4 district meet in Mitchell this past weekend. Valentine ended up second behind #1 ranked Broken Bow.

On February 4, 2023 Cherry County 4-H had two teams competing at the Nebraska 4-H First Lego League Robotics Regional Qualifier in Henderson. The Badger Bot Team qualified for the state competition for the third year in a row with mostly all returning members: RJ Dean, Duncan Mosner, Isaac Utecht, Allen Ward, Tyler Harp, Cole Boes, Kaden Garwood and Tilden Foster.
