The Lady Badgers traveled to West Holt, Monday, December 19, 2022, where they won over the Lady Huskies with a score of 47-45. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 13, 5, 11, 18 = 47 West Holt - 5, 14, 16, 10 = 45 Tacey From led in scoring with 14, Jayda From added 11, Kinsey Buechle and Kaetryn Bancroft each had 10, and Malika Monroe added 2.

Three big game meetings rescheduled

Three big game public information meetings planned by Nebraska Game and Parks have been postponed. Originally scheduled in December, these meetings are now set for January.

Coaches selected for 2023 West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game

SCOTTSBLUFF - The volleyball coaches have been selected to lead the West and East teams for the 39th annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game. This year’s game will be played Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Scottsbluff at Cougar Palace on the campus of Western Nebraska Community College. Game time is 2:00 p.m. MDT.

GRAND ISLAND — Jaime Parr is the new executive director of the Nebraska State Fair. The State Fair Board approved Parr’s appointment at their meeting on Friday after naming her interim executive director in October.

Fire officials begin burning slash piles across the state

Starting immediately as weather allows over the winter months, officials across the state plan to burn slash piles. Nebraska Game and Parks will burn slash piles containing trees and shrubs removed from grasslands and forests, along with other debris piles, on both wildlife management areas and state park areas.
