Special guest speakers Pranvera Hyseni and Hap Griffin share their love of asteroids. She is from Kosovo and is instrumental is getting their very first observatory - still under construction - in her country. Hap and Pran have discovered an astroid and earned certificates. Pran says, “Dreams do come true when you never cease to pursue them.”
Friday, July 21, 2023, was the Public Star Party for everyone to enjoy! Here we have organizer John Johnson, and it just happened to be his birthday that day! Which also happened to be the best night for viewing.
As the sun glows golden in the west, the activity on DOB row intensifies as Star Party organizers ready their large Dobsonian telescopes. These super viewers allow guests to see the infinite nebulae, galaxies, and constellations that are sighted in. Photos by Laura Vroman
