The Nebraska Regional Poison Center (NRPC) joined with the nation’s 54 other poison centers for National Poison Prevention Week from March 19-25, 2023. The theme this year was “When poison happens, Poison Centers are here for you.” A joint resolution requesting Poison Prevention Week was passed in the US Congress in 1961. NCC students join PTK honor society Approximately 70 students at Northeast Community College have qualified for membership in the Phi Theta Kappa, (PTK), Tau Chi Chapter during the spring semester. The organization’s mission is two-fold: recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.
