The St. Nicholas Right to Life Ministry invites area residents and families to attend a Celebration of Life presentation by Heart of a Child Ministries on Sunday, September 20, at 6:00 p.m.

Second place in North Platte for the Lady Badger Golfers with a team score of a 429. Three of the five varsity girls placed in the top 15.

This year’s theme is The Magic of Homecoming with a Disney twist. Magic of Homecoming will hit the VHS hallways beginning September 20, with the Badger Booster Powder Puff Football and Dudes at the Net Volleyball at 4:00 p.m., at the high school.

September 10, 2026 ~ Omaha, NE - Radicle Growth announced Citroniq and Future Origins as the winners of The Radicle Corn Challenge Sponsored by U.S. Corn Farmers during the Bio Innovations North America conference in Omaha, NE on September 9. The global competition, launched in January 2026, was created to identify and support companies developing breakthrough technologies that create significant new demand for corn beyond traditional food, feed and fuel markets. The Challenge attracted applicants from around the world working to transform corn and corn-derived feedstocks into higher-value products across industrial, chemical, materials and emerging bioeconomy applications.

Who doesn’t love seeing the first tulips, daffodils, or crocuses pop up in the spring? After a long Nebraska winter, those first flowers are a welcome sign that warmer days are finally on the way. Rick and Kitty Vander Wey left Friday for vacation at the WJ Ranch (Greg and Jan Schiferl) at Fordyce, NE. They attended a concert by The Isaacs that evening, and spent Saturday jamming with other musical friends and poets. That evening they performed two songs during a concert for the public. They returned home Sunday after participating in Cowboy Church.
