If we are to believe the woke crowd, Easter is nothing but a nice time to mark the beginning of Spring and a fuzzy rabbit running around hiding eggs, trespassing on peoples’ property. Yet, despite the attempts to silence the true grace of God’s great gift of salvation to us, the Spirit shouts to us deep within our souls to open our hearts to the Living Word; Jesus Christ.

As a teenager, I loved sleeping in; and to this day, I still haven’t fully left that behind. For many of us, getting out of bed can be a mental struggle—leaving the warm, cozy embrace of your bed covers to go into the world and grind another day of work. But life—with all its excitement, potential, beauty, discovery, inspiration—can only take place once we leave the bed.

Our gracious God has given us human beings minds to think, to reason, and to make decisions. Those minds, unfortunately, have been corrupted by sin and so are not perfect by any means. We often make assumptions based on faulty information and, consequently, make ill-informed and unfortunate decisions. The biblical accounts of Easter are filled with people making such false assumptions, which were corrected only by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
