Wayne State College announces fall Dean’s List Wayne State College included more than 1,200 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Fall 2021 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Lincoln – On October 25, 2021, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Children and Family Services (CFS) launched the Child Care Stabilization Grant, a program funded by Section 2202 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The Child Care Stabilization Grant program was successful in awarding over $90 million dollars in grants to child care providers in Nebraska to be disbursed in two installments, one last December and one in March 2022.

Chris Gorman of Lincoln and his family rushed his mother, Lynda Gorman, to the emergency room while visiting her in North Platte in early January. Her hemoglobin levels were dangerously low, and she needed a blood transfusion.

Kearney, NE (January 25, 2022) The Nebraska Beef Council is seeking candidates in four districts to serve on the Board of Directors in 2023. Directors volunteer their time to represent fellow beef producers while overseeing Beef Checkoff collections and investments on the state, national, and international level. The Board’s major responsibility is to oversee checkoff expenditures by determining promotion, research and education programs for checkoff investments. The term is four years and will begin January 2, 2023.

The Central Nebraska Housing Developers are announcing the availability of funds to rehabilitate owner-occupied homes, located within the municipal boundaries of communities in our 14-county region. Low- to no-interest loans are available to income-eligible households for rehabilitation activities, including, but not limited to: weatherization, roof and foundation repairs, plumbing, electrical, painting/siding, and accessibility.
