SOUTH SIOUX CITY, (AP)-Police have arrested a former South Sioux City High School assistant football coach on charges he sexually assaulted a student. The Sioux City Journal reported Monday that Nathan Rogers, 25, of South Sioux City, was arrested Friday, March 26 and held in the Dakota County Jail on a bond of $1 million.

What a beautiful Easter weekend in our area! With temps in the high 80’s there was lots of family time outside for Easter egg hunts. Easter dinner guests of Gregory and LaCosta Jackson and family were Greg and Gwenda Jackson, Lacey Jackson and family and Shannon Andre.

The daffodil is one of the first flowers to spring forth and has been associated with Easter for that reason...it has a new beginning every spring - often before other flowers begin blooming. The trumpet could sound the new beginning for Christians as Jesus was raised from the dead Easter Sunday, taking all of our sins with him, for those who believe.
