Announcing historic tax relief bills

LINCOLN - Governor Jim Pillen, accompanied by several state senators including members of the Revenue Committee, announced six priority bills for the Legislative session aimed at transforming Nebraska’s tax code, making our state’s tax system more competitive with other states, improving workforce development, and providing parents and their children additional choices for education. “Our current tax system fails to make Nebraska competitive,” said Governor Pillen.

This Monday was National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day — an opportunity to thank the men and women who keep Nebraskans safe. It’s particularly important that we use this special day to celebrate our law enforcement officers because in some parts of the country their life-saving work is undervalued and even demonized.
