Lincoln -- Weather the storm. After the Ainsworth Bulldogs got out to a quick 7-0 run to open the game, Johnson-Brock Eagles coach Lucas Dalinghaus said he wasn’t worried.

Lincoln -- The game hadn’t even started on Thursday, March 7, 2024 and Carter Nelson had already wowed the crowd. Nelson, a Nebraska football signee, made his presence felt the moment he walked onto the court.

Another great year of music, public speaking, and talent was celebrated at the annual Cherry County 4-H Communications and Expressive Arts Contest which was held February 23, 2024. Clinton Albertus judged music/ talent and Celeste Rogers judged speech.

Six third graders and one second grader, traveled to Pierre, SD, Saturday, February 17, 2024 to compete in a five team, round robin, third grade basketball tournament. The young team had a strong performance finishing the day with a 3-0-1 record.

Omaha Fashion Week highlighted themes of reckless selfexpression during their Spring 2024 Audacious Season. As they focused on fashion-for-good, they honored the audacity it takes to use voices to create meaningful change in our communities.

Lincoln – Each year, the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office invites fifth graders from across the state to participate in the Nebraska Missing Children’s Day poster contest. The posters are intended to raise awareness of missing children and remind parents, guardians, and caregivers to make the safety of their children a priority.

The Badgers traveled to Summerland - Clearwater, Ewing, Orchard, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, and fell with a score of 46-54. Scoring by quarter: Valentine - 9, 16, 13, 8 = 46 Summerland - 18, 12, 13, 11 = 54 Isaac Cronin was the lead scorer with 20; Dominic Beebout and Andon Olson each had 8; Trystan Beebout and Lex Larsen each with 5.

Lincoln, February 15, 2024 — Nebraska 4-H is now accepting nominations for a new awards program to recognize the outstanding contributions of 4-H volunteers across the state. The Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Recognition Awards honors adult and youth volunteers, as well as and multi-generational families, who have provided meaningful contributions to Nebraska 4-H.

The Lady Badgers made a short trip to Ainsworth to take on the #2 seed of the C2-11 subdistrict, Niobrara-Verdigre Cougars for the first round of sub-district games. The Lady Badgers played a strong three quarters, but Niobrara- Verdigre got the win with a score of 53-36.
