The Valentine Cross Country Team traveled to the Gordon Country Club Thursday, September 22, 2022. The individual Mens 5000 Meter Varsity are as follows: Second place, Grant Springer, 18:55; fourth place, Isaac Cronin, 19:18; 12th place, Landon Mooney, 23:38 PR; 16th place, Kadon Wenig, 24:16; 17th place, Harvey Dean Fast Horse, 24:58 PR.

The Lady Badgers hosted Stuart, Thursday, September 22, 2022 and lost in three sets. Scoring: Valentine - 15, 21, 17 = 0 Stuart - 25, 25, 25 = 3 Ashlee Bacon and Malika Monroe led in kills each with 7, Finley Mosner with 5, Kinsey Buechle and Lainey Egelhoff each with 4.

The Lady Badgers hosted their Invitational, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Frederick Peak Golf Course and won with 383. Six teams competed at this event, and the Lady Badgers shot their second lowest score of the year said Coach Devin Muirhead.

The Sparks Nebraska Spurs chapter of Cowboy Fast Draw Association hosted another successful event this past weekend with three days of competition at the Cherry County Fairgrounds. Most of the 77 competitors started arriving on Thursday, September 15, and stayed through Sunday.

Coach Ian Bish said, “Our boys played extremely hard all night but unfortunately we came out on the wrong side. On the defensive side of the ball, we flew around and made play after play all night. Offensively we had our opportunities but we have to finish drives when we get the ball inside the redzone.”
