“Our kids battled and played extremely hard for all four quarters. Us coaches saw a lot of really good things from a football aspect in all three facets of the game but we have plenty of things that we need to clean up. We are excited for another opportunity to fix these things on Friday in Hershey,” said Coach Ian Bish.

The Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB), Board of Directors and staff, recognized the 2022 Award of Achievement recipients during the Valentine Area Meeting in late August. NASB is a private, nonprofit organization that serves the needs of Nebraska public school districts andEducationalServiceUnitboard members.

Was it completely preposterous to try and grow grapes in the Sandhills?Possibly.Thisis,afterall, cattle country. But the grapevines were grown, their fruit harvested, and processed into wine at the Niobrara Valley Vineyard. In fact the wine became so popular, that the Nollette family has received many awards.

Thursday evening, September 15, 2022, a community educational tree planting was conducted under the guidance of Nebraska Forest Service Professional Tree and Landscape Community Forester Chrissy Land.
VHS students explore their senses in a new way on the Niobrara River

Valentine High School students experienced the Niobrara River in anewway;asanoutdoorclassroom during the Write the River: Creative Writing and Art Float. Nebraska WritingProjectEnglishprofessionals andNationalParkServicerangers from Niobrara National Scenic River introduced the students to different resources and different writing styles.
Light at the end of the tunnel!

As many of you have seen, IES Incorporated has begun standing lighting units up. The next chapter of lighting has started, and the City of Valentine has been greatly excited to showcase these beautiful light pedestals. These units were specially constructed with LED lights that do not produce light pollution for the surrounding area, but shine bright on our street.
