    Welcome Pastor Jake Schadel

Who would have thought running heavy equipment would someday lead a young man to become a pastor? “I started listening to audio books, and I was pretty tired of listening to everything on the radio. In my first year I listened to 104 books, in my second year, it was 115 books,” said Jake Schadel. “I’ve always been a faithful person, but it was the first time I listened to the whole Bible. I downloaded the Bible three times. The NIV, the dramatized version, and an English Standard Version. It took about 76 hours to get though which I was able to do. I started on Monday and finished on a Friday, so Genesis to Revelation in two weeks.”

Bob Kilmer inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame

“I was thinking that if anyone should get a plaque, it should be Evelyn. She did weather observations for 30 years, kept house, and in her spare time, she altered clothes - which she’s still doing - and has put up with me for 66 years in March, raised three boys - you can’t tell me she doesn’t deserve a plaque at least,” Bob Kilmer, the recent Aviation Hall of Fame recipient said of his wife.

    Winter weather has been flighty!

Mother Nature sure had a flighty February. Weather fluctuations went from a high of 64 on February 15, to the lowest low of minus 12 degrees on February 23. All of that in eight days. But there were the winds! The highest gust of 52 mph was February 8...but when the temperatures dipped last week to the below zero digits, the winds weren’t helping an already cold situation. February 21 the wind was at 41 mph and the overnight low was -6, the next day, the wind gusted to 40 mph with a high of 1 degree and overnight low of -11. For those working in the cold, February 23 was a bit of a warm up with a high of 7 degrees and wind at 16 mph.
