Ribbon Cutting held for new Cody-Kilgore School

Cody-Kilgore Board Members Bethany Swendener and Tim Nollette, both C-K alum, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new combined Cody-Kilgore School during the Back-to-School Picnic and Open House on August 14, 2025. Nollette shares the project was five years in the making, and couldn’t have been done without the hard work and sacrifice of the GRIT committee and the entire community. The school sports state-of-the art technology tools, a redesigned lunchroom and is completing a new playground funded with community donations.

Cowboy Church offering benefits CCH diabetes program

The offering’s received at Cowboy Church during the Cherry County Fair have been donated to the Cherry County Hospital to help fund their diabetes program; $1,100 was raised, with an additional check of $100 being dropped off after the event.
