National Poison Prevention Week March 21-27…Prepare, Prevent, and Protect

National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW) has been observed in the United States for 59 years. The third full week in March is dedicated to highlighting the dangers of poisonings for people of all ages, and to promote education and community involvement with poisoning prevention.

March 9, 2021 -- Gift cards have become a multibillion-dollar industry and a gift that always fits and stands up to social distancing. Worldwide, consumers spent billions on gift cards last year. However, that total comes with an asterisk -- it includes the gift cards that scammers increasingly rely on to extract payment from their victims.

Perennials live to grow another year

With the 20 below-freezing temperatures that swept Nebraska this winter, most gardeners had a concern: if previously planted perennials would grow this year.
