Nebraska LEAD introduces micro-credential through UNL

Lincoln, NE — The Nebraska LEAD Program is excited to introduce a new micro-credential in partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR). This digital badge will be awarded to Nebraska LEAD Fellows in recognition of their comprehensive exploration of agricultural leadership, communication and global perspectives—essential competencies for advancing agriculture and strengthening rural communities.

Benson selected for Girls State

Aubrey Benson was selected as the American Legion Auxiliary, Leo Brinda Unit 90 Girls State Delegate. Aubrey attends Valentine High School.

vinNEBRASKA raises $400,000+ to support Completely KIDS

April 6, 2025 - The vinNEBRASKA Foundation has raised more than $400,000 for the fourth straight year, this time in support of the work of Completely KIDS. The sold-out two-night event featured 20 world-class winemakers from California, Washington, and Oregon. This year’s honorary winery wasMaterrafromtheNapaValley’s Oak Knoll AVA. vinNEBRASKA 2025 was held at the Capital District Marriott April 4-5. The event highlights included a five-course winemaker dinner Friday night and a grand tasting and live auction Saturday night.

Choose from six locations at Ladies Day on the Range

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman, a program that empowers women with the knowledge of outdoor skills, will host Ladies Day on the Range on April 26 at six locations across Nebraska. This program, which runs from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., offers women the opportunity to shoot archery, pellet gun, .22 handgun, shotgun, and .22 rifle.

Construction begins at Hyannis area lakes

Construction has begun on new amenities at Frye Lake and Avocet Lake near Hyannis. If all goes according to schedule, anglers will have an easier time launching boats at both locations by the end of the summer.
