CSC Rodeo Team hosts Black Tie event

The Chadron State College Rodeo Team hosted their annual Black Tie Calf Fry at the Dawes County Fairgrounds in Chadron Saturday evening to well over 300 people in attendance. A delicious meal served by team members and live entertainment was enjoyed by all.

Protecting women’s sports is absolutely just plain common sense

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a speech on the Senate floor, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) slammed his Democrat colleagues for voting against the Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act. Ricketts voted to support the legislation earlier this week.

Weather was the villain of the week once again, with school closure, cancellation of parent-teacher conferences and other events. The service for Helen Ford was canceled due to family not wishing for anyone to have to risk their safety on the roads, opting for a small family gathering instead.

Pole inspections to be conducted across state

Columbus, Neb. – Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) will be contracting with Osmose Utility Services to conduct inspections on the distribution, subtransmission, and transmission system across the state.

During the week of March 2 - 9, the following arrests were made: • On March 2, at 9:40 p.m., a 37 year old South Dakota man was arrested near the intersection of 4th and Wood streets on the charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Unlawful Flight to Avoid Arrest, and Resisting Arrest. • On March 4, at 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a non-injury accident in the 300 block of East Highway 20.
