Bethel Jolyne (Andrews) Ogier, 90

Bethel Jolyne (Andrews) Ogier, age 90, of Wallace, NE, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE.

She was born June 23, 1934, to Joseph Glen and Eva Ada (Barnes) Andrews in Valentine, NE. Bethel graduated high school from UNSA in Curtis, NE, and then attended Drake University and Chadron State College. She was a dedicated teacher for 32 years and touched the lives of countless students.

Bethel is survived by her husband, Garth of 71 years; her children Jim (JoAnn) Ogier, Ralph (Charlene) Ogier, Nicki (Doug) Brennemann, and Rosalie (Wayne) Morgan; son-in-law Roy Westover; grandchildren Tim, Talbot, Calvin, Kristi, Kari, Nicholas, Jonathan, Ashley, Lindsey and Alexander; nine great-grandchildren; siblings Joe (Wilma) Andrews and Harley (Gloria) Andrews, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law Ralph and Mildred “Bobbi” Ogier; daughter Jolyne Westover; and two infant granddaughters.

Bethel will be deeply missed by her beloved family, friends, and the many more whose lives she touched. Visitation was Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST with family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST at the Wallace Methodist Church in Wallace, NE. Funeral services were Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. CST at the Wallace Methodist Church with Pastor Shannon Williams officiating.

Internment will be held in the Morning View Cemetery in Wallace, NE.

A memorial has been established in Bethel’s name that will be designated at a later time by the family.
