Brad A. Hucke, 62

Hastings resident Brad A. Hucke, 62, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial were held Tuesday, November 5, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Scott Nemec officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Loveland, CO.

Brad was born October 11, 1962, in Chadron, to Daniel and Valarie Hucke. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1981 and received his Associate’s Degree from Front Range Community College. Brad served in the U.S. Army from July 1981 to September 1983. He married Trina Lopez on June 15, 1985.

Brad worked in water and wastewater management until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans.

Brad was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Chad Hucke and Bret Hucke; grandparents, Doyle and Sarah Hucke and Helen Bernadine Sanders; and father-inlaw, Leon Lopez.

He is survived by wife, Trina Hucke, Hastings; daughters, Madison Hucke, Denver, CO, Cameron Hucke, Hastings; mother, Valarie Hucke and Harvey Hoffmeyer, Loveland, CO; mother-in-law, Helen Lopez Colgan, Valentine; brothers-in-law and sisters-inlaw, Karen Hucke, Loveland, CO, Karen Hucke, Evans, CO, Jean Schmeckpeper, Norfolk, Anita and Huey Olson, Wood Lake, Greg Lopez, Shelton, WA, Vince Lopez, Crookston, Kristi and Bob O’Meara, Lexington, Julie and Troy Judy, Ashland. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
